Hotel website cost · India

How much does a hotel website cost in India?

Most hotel websites I build cost between ₹15,000 and ₹50,000, depending on scope. This guide explains what changes the price — rooms and pages, booking versus enquiry flow, payments, content readiness, admin editing and automation — so you can compare quotes by what the finished website actually does.

Quick answer

Most projects: ₹15,000–₹50,000.

That is my indicative project range, not a universal market price and not a fixed quote. A compact booking-ready site sits toward the lower part; more rooms, pages, payment or booking integrations, admin editing and automation move it upward. I quote only after a short conversation about the property.

Why prices vary

Two hotels rarely need the same website.

A six-room guesthouse with ready photos may need a focused site and a structured WhatsApp enquiry. A forty-room hotel may need room categories, a booking engine connection, payment rules, policies, offers, an admin screen and staff alerts.

Comparing only the final number hides those differences. Compare what the guest can complete, what the hotel can update, and what work remains after launch.

For the service itself, see hotel website design for direct bookings.

Compare the scope

Three common levels of hotel website.

LevelWhat it includesWhere it usually sitsBest fit
Brochure websiteHome, rooms, gallery, amenities, location and contact. The guest still has to call or message without structured booking details.Lower part of ₹15,000–₹50,000A property replacing an outdated or missing web presence.
Booking-ready websiteEverything above, plus room detail, rates and policies, a booking or structured enquiry flow, WhatsApp confirmation route, maps, reviews and stronger search setup.Middle of the rangeMost independent hotels that want direct enquiries they can act on immediately.
Website + systemsBooking-ready pages plus payment or booking-system integration, admin editing, automated alerts/follow-ups, dashboards or deeper WhatsApp automation.Upper part of the rangeHotels whose website must connect to daily operations, not just present information.

The bands overlap because scope, content readiness and integrations matter more than labels. Your quote follows the actual brief.

Cost drivers

What moves a hotel website up or down?

Rooms & pages

More room types, restaurants, banquet spaces, experiences and location pages mean more design, content handling and testing.

Booking method

A WhatsApp enquiry is simpler than connecting a booking engine, availability system, payment gateway and cancellation rules.

Content readiness

Good photos, final prices, policies and room details speed the work. Missing or inconsistent content must be organised first.

Admin control

If staff need to edit prices, photos, offers and enquiries themselves, the project needs a secure admin workflow and training.

Automation

Instant owner alerts, guest confirmations, follow-ups and integrations add value — and add setup, testing and platform requirements.

Languages & locations

Multiple languages, properties or location-specific pages multiply content and quality checks. They should be added for real demand, not decoration.

The commission context

A website is not free bookings. It is a cheaper channel to own.

Hotels commonly pay OTAs around 15–25% commission on completed marketplace bookings. A direct booking avoids that particular commission, but the hotel still has real costs: hosting, payment processing if it takes cards, messaging tools where applicable, and the time needed to keep prices and content current.

The honest question is not “Can a website eliminate OTAs?” It is “How many guests who already trust us are we sending somewhere else to complete the booking?” Even a modest shift can justify a well-built direct channel over time, but no responsible designer should guarantee a number of bookings.

Before you compare quotes

Ask every designer these questions.

  • What can the guest complete? View rooms only, send an enquiry, or complete a booking?
  • Who receives the enquiry? Email alone, WhatsApp, an admin inbox, or all three?
  • What can we update ourselves? Prices, photos, offers and policies — or nothing without a developer?
  • What is not included? Domain, hosting, payment setup, photography, copywriting and third-party tools should be named clearly.
  • How is mobile tested? A hotel site succeeds or fails on phones first.

How I quote

Understand → scope → one clear quote.

  1. 1

    Understand

Tell me the property, room count, current website and what guests should be able to do.

  2. 2

    Choose the flow

We decide between enquiry, booking integration and automation based on how your team works.

  3. 3

    Fix the scope

Pages, content, integrations, admin needs and launch checks are written down before the quote.

  4. 4

    Build & launch

The design is approved, the site is built and tested, then handed over with the agreed routes working.

Can you give me an exact price from this page?

No — and you should be careful with anyone who does without seeing the property and the required booking flow. The range is real guidance; the quote follows a short scope conversation.

Is a cheaper brochure site enough?

It can be enough as a first web presence, but it leaves the guest to finish the job elsewhere. If direct bookings are the goal, budget for the flow that captures dates, guests and room choice.

Do you also build non-hotel business sites?

Yes. The same booking and enquiry principles apply to gyms, clinics, restaurants, institutes and shops — see business websites.

Contact

Tell me what you are building.

No form-filling theatre — a short message about the business and what it needs is enough to start. I’ll reply with exactly what it takes.
